Thursday, June 26th, 2008Finished the The Madonnas of Leningrad by Debra Dean, her first novel. It’s about Marina, an elderly Russian woman now living in America, confronting the distant past with the German army when she was a tour guide at the Heritage Museum.
A good read. The language is fluid and luminous.
